* Born in Los Angeles

* Eldest child, two brothers, two sisters

* Father was a TV actor in the 50s under SAG name "Jeff Bell"

* Derek Bell (brother) is on-air announcer/pilot for Channel 2 & 9 in L.A.

* Graduated with Bachelor's degree from Stanford University

* Studied acting at the Loft Studios 1984-1985, joined AFTRA in 1985

* First paid theater role was $50 for a three week run as Diggory in

     "She Stoops to Conquer", Mill Valley Theater Company.

* First television part was two lines in "Days of Our Lives"

* Worked a variety of day jobs: 

     engineer, writer, manager, musician, financial analyst

* Performed for years in original rock bands as singer/bassist

* Rode bicycle coast-to-coast (2900mi.) in 9 days, 13 hrs

    (Race Across America, 1996)

* Traveled by backpack worldwide for one year (1998-1999)

* Completed 2 yrs at Bennett TheatreLab, 6+ yrs with Cliff Osmond
